Anti-Ageing

Well If you know someone who can sell you the elixir of eternal youth and vitality then this probably isn’t going to get your juices going. Probably fair to say that their is a world of anti-ageing serums to injections some may be the toxin treatments which is all good and costly . Some even claim to be the Botox in a bottle. I must admit when I was researching what ingredients I wanted in my Face Moisturiser I knew straight away what I wanted . I think its a fair claim to not make a claim to ever say this will reverse back the signs of ageing but it is fair to say that some ingredients can have a temporary anti-ageing effect and may help some what . I always use the phrase everyone’s skin is different so my little crows lines as I approach my 50 young years may not be as deep as someone who is 40 . I know tho when I apply my moisturiser they plump out a littler bit and it makes me feel that bit more confident. As for the forehead lines , well good luck with them . Although when I use my Face scrub and leave it on for 5 minutes they do look a little less pronounced (yes I rinse it off after ). The hero of Gotu Kola .

It’s quite often written and I agree that diet and drinking your 2 litres of water play an integral part. Drinking too much alcohol can take its toll and smoking well no comment . You know where I am coming from tho . Environmental and lifestyle all plays a significant part in how our skin ages. Sun damage is the worst thing for ageing our little chops. Sun beds even worse. Love my sun tho . However using a great protection add a good moisturiser should always be the default minimum for all of us . Lecture over I promise.

I remember talking to a guy once who said “I only use water and never use a moisturiser, waste of time on all that money thrown away” and his skin was somewhat parched in its appearance . No bias their I promise. Us guys have become more aware of our skincare now tho over the years and you know what it doesn’t matter what you want to spend on a product it’s personal choice , at least your looking after your personal care . A bigger price point will give you a better formulation , 100% of course it will . Just find what works for you. Yes we are around the £20-£30 but I think and I am confident that a good in-between price range is great value for the results you will get actually. Okay punt over , 😉

Someone said to me in a very well known retailer a few years ago “ I wouldn’t waste your money “ when I was about to spend nearly £100 on a face moisturiser . My eyes widened and then she explained on a very famous skincare brand counter why. She then pointed out a product that was half the money and just as effective. I had a flare up from hell a few days later so was annoyed an understatement. I’m a sensitive lad on my face with any added fragrance so check out my Blog on that topic . Ooo don’t getting me started again .

So don’t be fooled by claims would be a good end to my Blog on this topic and yes go for what works but be conscious of what is in it . We are proud to have none of the nasties in Mens Skins and as you know we never add fragrance or dyes .
